NatWest Switch Offer

£200
1

Offer Overview

NatWest is offering £200 cash when you move an eligible current account to NatWest using the Current Account Switch Service.

There are no Direct Debit requirements or debit-card spending targets. After the switch completes, pay in £1,250, leave the qualifying money in the account for at least 24 hours, and log into the NatWest mobile app within 60 days.

You'll need

  • Open an eligible NatWest Select or Reward account
  • Complete a full CASS switch from another provider
  • Pay in £1,250 within 60 days of switch completion
  • Keep the qualifying money in the account for at least 24 hours
  • Log into the NatWest mobile app within 60 days of switch completion

Eligibility

  • New or existing NatWest customer who did not hold a NatWest current account on 6 May 2026
  • No previous cash switch bonus from NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank
  • Switch account held with another provider; not NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank
  • Eligible receiving account: NatWest Select or NatWest Reward
  • Joint switches need a joint NatWest receiving account and pay one £200 reward per account

NatWest currently confirms these requirements on its live switching page. The reward is paid as cash into the eligible NatWest account.

Do not combine NatWest and RBS switch offers

The old strategy of completing NatWest and RBS switches together is no longer suitable. Previous NatWest Group switch rewards can make you ineligible, and an account switched from RBS or Ulster Bank into NatWest does not qualify.

Things to do

  • Confirm I didn't hold a NatWest current account on 6 May 2026
  • Confirm I've never received an excluded NatWest Group switch reward
  • Have an eligible current account available to switch

Choose the current account you are going to move to NatWest. You do not need to create or prepare Direct Debits for this offer; the old account simply needs to be eligible for a full CASS switch.

A full CASS switch closes the account you are switching from, so a spare current account may be preferable if you are completing the offer primarily for the £200.

Use an external provider

Do not switch from NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank. Use an eligible account held with another provider.

Have the old bank name, sort code, account number, debit-card details where requested and your preferred switch date ready.

Joint accounts can qualify only when the receiving NatWest account is also joint. NatWest asks you to add the second account holder before requesting the joint-account switch, and the qualifying account receives one £200 payment.

Things to do

  • Choose my old current account
  • Make sure it isn't with NatWest, RBS or Ulster Bank
  • Have my account details ready

Choose your NatWest account

For the standard £200 offer, choose either NatWest Select or NatWest Reward.

Select is the simplest choice for most people completing the switch primarily for the cash bonus. It has a £0 monthly account fee and no extra monthly funding requirement simply for keeping it.

Reward costs £2 per month and requires at least £1,250 to be paid into an eligible NatWest account each calendar month. It can currently earn up to £5 per month in Rewards, including £4 for two or more qualifying Direct Debits and £1 for logging into the app.

The same money can overlap

If you choose Reward, NatWest confirms that the same qualifying £1,250 payment can satisfy the switch and monthly Reward funding requirements where the timing aligns. The two Direct Debits are for ongoing Reward benefits, not for the £200 switch bonus.

If you already opened an eligible NatWest account after 6 May 2026, check the app or Online Banking for Open your current account → Switch my account.

Things to do

  • Choose Select or Reward
  • Open my eligible NatWest account
4

Start your full switch

Request a full Current Account Switch Service switch from your old bank into NatWest. You can normally request it while applying for the new account.

A qualifying full CASS switch moves your remaining balance, Direct Debits if you have any, standing orders and incoming payments, then closes the old account. A partial switch does not qualify.

Do not close the old account yourself

NatWest should close the old account automatically through the full CASS process. Do not manually close it before the switch completes.

The CASS move normally completes in around 7 working days. NatWest contacts your old bank and handles the transfer.

Things to do

  • Request a full CASS switch
  • Choose my switch date

Allow the CASS process to finish, normally in around 7 working days. Your balance, payment instructions and incoming payments will move, and the old account will close.

The 60-day qualification window starts when the switch completes. The safest sequence is: complete switch → pay in £1,250 → leave it for 24 hours → log into the app.

Keep the NatWest account open

Do not close or switch away the NatWest account while you are waiting for the reward. Keep it eligible until NatWest pays you.

Things to do

  • Confirm my CASS switch has completed
  • Note the switch-completion date

Once the switch has completed, finish the two remaining requirements within 60 days of switch completion.

Pay in a total of at least £1,250. NatWest allows multiple payments, so you can build the total in smaller amounts rather than transferring it as one lump sum.

The qualifying money must remain in the account for at least 24 hours. For example, five payments of £250 can reach £1,250, but do not rush the money back out.

You must also register for and log into the NatWest mobile banking app within the same 60-day window. Do not rely on Online Banking alone for this requirement.

Finish early

After switch completion, pay in the qualifying money, leave it for 24 hours, log into the app and confirm the NatWest account remains open well before day 60.

Things to do

  • Pay in £1,250
  • Keep the qualifying funds in NatWest for at least 24 hours
  • Log into the NatWest mobile app

Once you have completed all the requirements, NatWest pays £200 cash directly into your eligible account within 30 days of meeting the requirements.

If the reward has not arrived, wait the full 30-day payment window after your final qualifying action. Then check that the switch was full CASS, the source account was eligible, the £1,250 remained for 24 hours, the app login was completed within 60 days, and the account is still open.

If everything is correct, contact NatWest through the app and ask it to check your switch-offer eligibility. NatWest’s digital assistant may also help check whether you previously received a NatWest Group switching incentive.

If you keep the account, you can review optional extras such as the Digital Regular Saver. If you chose Reward, remember its separate £2 monthly fee and £1,250 monthly funding requirement.

Things to do

  • Receive my £200 switch reward
  • Decide whether to keep Select or Reward
  • Check the Digital Regular Saver if useful
