PayPal is offering £10 in PayPal credit when you join through an eligible referral and complete a qualifying £5+ GBP transaction. The person who refers you receives £10 too.

There is no bank switch, Direct Debit or large deposit requirement. You need to open your new account correctly, link a payment method, verify your mobile number and complete one qualifying transaction within 30 days.

PayPal determines eligibility for each referral campaign, so only rely on an invitation that actually displays the reward and its current terms.

Receive an eligible PayPal referral invitation before signing up.

Because of these restrictions, Bank Boost does not provide random PayPal referral links through its public referral pool. Ask someone you know to send an eligible invitation directly.

Before continuing, check that the invitation shows the reward, transaction requirement, completion deadline and any campaign-specific expiry date. The invitation shown to you is the final authority for that campaign.

Open the referral invitation and follow it through to PayPal. Complete the sign-up process for your new Personal PayPal account.

Link at least one payment method: a bank account, debit card or credit card. Choose the method you would normally use with PayPal.

Verify the mobile number associated with your account. This is part of PayPal’s referral requirements and should not be skipped.

Your 30-day clock runs from completing your PayPal sign-up, so complete the qualifying transaction soon after the account is ready.

Complete one eligible transaction of at least £5 GBP within 30 days of joining PayPal.

The clearest route is an ordinary online purchase of at least £5 at a retailer that accepts PayPal: choose PayPal at checkout, sign in, pay in GBP and make sure the transaction completes successfully.

PayPal also allows a qualifying Send Money payment, but you cannot send the £5 to the person who referred you. The payment must be successfully received and completed.

If you were already planning to buy something, Bank Boost recommends a normal £5+ PayPal checkout purchase because it is straightforward and creates a clear transaction record.

Once PayPal verifies the referral requirements, your £10 reward should appear within approximately 14 days. PayPal may also email you when it becomes available.

Look in the Offers or rewards area of your PayPal account. The £10 is promotional credit, not part of your normal cash balance.

Use it towards an eligible PayPal checkout purchase. For example, on a £25 purchase, the £10 credit can be applied and the remaining £15 charged to a linked payment method.

If the reward is missing, recheck the invitation, payment method, mobile verification, £5 minimum, 30-day deadline and transaction status. Allow the full processing period before contacting PayPal support.

Once you are an eligible PayPal customer, check whether the Invite Friends promotion is available in the PayPal app or on PayPal.com.

When the standard £10 campaign is available, you can earn £10 per qualifying friend for up to 10 successful referrals, giving a maximum of £100. Your friend receives their own £10 after completing the offer.

Your friend must complete sign-up, link a bank account or card, verify their mobile number and complete the required £5+ transaction within 30 days. If the same person receives multiple invitations, PayPal generally credits the first qualifying invitation.

Before referring anyone, check your live PayPal offer for the current reward, limit, requirements, campaign deadline and reward expiry. Those displayed terms take priority.
