The key point — you need £10 cashback, not £10 spend
You don't simply need to spend £10. You need to actually earn £10 of eligible cashback through TopCashback.
Cashback maths
Eligible spend × cashback rate = cashback earned
Example: £100 of eligible spending at 10% cashback earns £10 cashback.
You can build the £10 total across different eligible purchases. For example, £3 + £4 + £5 of eligible cashback gives you £12.
Important exclusions
The following do not count towards the referral threshold:

- Other bonus promotions
- New Member Deals
- Goodwill or contest cashback
- Cashback from merchants specifically excluded from the Refer & Earn scheme
Signup deadline
New members must join through a referral link from 10:00am BST on 29 September 2026 until 10:00am GMT on 31 October 2026. Their own window to earn £10 eligible cashback is 180 days from signup. The signup window and personal qualification deadline are separate.

Join Through Bank Boost
Start your TopCashback membership through the eligible referral link provided in Bank Boost.

Use the referral before creating an account
The referral link needs to track your signup. Do not create a TopCashback account independently first and then try to add the referral afterwards.

Choose Classic or Plus
Classic is free with no annual membership deduction. Plus offers enhanced cashback and other benefits, but £5 is deducted from your cashback earnings each membership year. New customers are currently placed onto Plus when creating an account.
You do not need Plus to qualify. If you want the free option, check Account → My Profile → Membership details and switch to Classic where available before earning cashback.
Current promotion deadline
Signup through a referral link must occur from 10:00am BST on 29 September 2026 until 10:00am GMT on 31 October 2026. The member then has 180 days from signup to earn £10 eligible cashback. A later promotion must not change these terms for an existing referral.

Find £10 of Eligible Cashback
Use TopCashback for purchases or services you genuinely need. The goal is to earn at least £10 of eligible cashback.

Your cashback initially appears in your account and progresses through the retailer's validation process.
Look for efficient offers
Some retailers offer percentage cashback, fixed cashback, higher rates for new customers, or cashback for eligible subscriptions and services. A genuine fixed-cashback transaction can sometimes reach £10 faster than earning a small percentage on ordinary shopping.
Cashback maths
Purchase amount × cashback rate = cashback earned
Example: £100 × 4% = £4 cashback. A £15 fixed-cashback offer could potentially clear the threshold in one qualifying transaction.
Check referral eligibility
Before relying on an offer, check the current Refer & Earn exclusion list. Cashback from Tide, TSB Spend & Save, Revolut UK, InvestEngine and Plum is excluded from this campaign’s £10 referral threshold. The list can change; an offer elsewhere in Bank Boost is not automatically eligible.
New Member Deals are separate
TopCashback may show enhanced New Member Deals, but their cashback is specifically excluded from the £10 referral threshold.

Make Sure Your Cashback Tracks
Cashback depends on TopCashback successfully tracking that it referred you to the retailer. A failed tracking journey can delay or completely prevent the cashback from counting towards your £10 target.
Before clicking through
TopCashback recommends allowing third-party cookies, turning off ad blockers and pop-up blockers, closing unnecessary tabs and extensions, avoiding private or incognito browsing, and using a supported browser such as Chrome if you have tracking issues.
Complete the shopping journey cleanly

- Read the retailer cashback terms
- Click through from TopCashback
- Accept required cookies
- Complete your purchase without leaving the retailer
Avoid visiting another cashback site, voucher website, comparison link or affiliate link before checkout, because another referral cookie can interfere with tracking.
Use approved voucher codes only
A voucher or discount code that the retailer's TopCashback page does not permit can result in the retailer declining your cashback.
Keep your purchase evidence
Save your order confirmation, order number, purchase date, purchase amount and confirmation email until the cashback has progressed successfully.
If it does not track
Most transactions can take up to around 7 days to appear. If an eligible purchase still has not tracked after the expected period, submit a Missing Cashback Claim through TopCashback with your order details.

Wait for £10 to Be Approved
Seeing £10 of cashback appear in your account does not necessarily mean the welcome bonus is ready. The qualifying transactions must be approved or confirmed before the £10 signup bonus is awarded. Pending or merely tracked cashback is not enough. Withdrawal follows once the bonus becomes Payable.
Why cashback takes time
The retailer needs to validate that your transaction was genuine, was not cancelled or refunded, and met its cashback conditions. This can take weeks or sometimes months depending on the retailer.
Cashback statuses
You will commonly see cashback progress through stages such as Pending → Confirmed → Payable. Approved/Confirmed is the qualification milestone; Payable is when the money can be withdrawn.
Do not return qualifying purchases
If a purchase generating part of your £10 cashback is refunded or cancelled, its cashback can be removed. If that leaves you below £10, you will need to earn more eligible cashback.
Your qualifying window
This campaign gives referred members 180 days from signup to earn £10 eligible cashback. Multiple qualifying purchases can contribute. Retailer approval may follow the purchase; do not make unnecessary purchases solely to chase the bonus.
Track the target
Use your TopCashback account to monitor eligible cashback separately as Pending and Approved/Confirmed. Bonuses and excluded merchant earnings do not count towards the referral threshold.

Get Your £10 and Refer Others
Once £10 of eligible cashback from qualifying transactions is approved, TopCashback awards the £10 signup bonus. Your qualifying cashback is separate from that bonus. Both can be withdrawn once TopCashback marks them Payable, subject to any Plus membership deduction.
Under the current Refer & Earn terms, the signup bonus can be withdrawn by bank transfer once the qualification conditions have been completed.
Plus membership watch-out
If you are using TopCashback Plus, its current fee is £5 per membership year, deducted from your cashback earnings. Use Classic if you want a completely free membership instead.
Refer other people
For friends who join through a link during this campaign, the referrer reward is £25 for Plus or £20 for Classic once the friend reaches £10 approved eligible cashback. The new member’s bonus is £10. No numerical referrer cap is stated; TopCashback still applies its anti-abuse rules.
Referral rewards can change
Always check TopCashback → Refer & Earn before sharing your link. The amount shown when your new member signs up is the amount TopCashback applies to that referral.
Referral-sharing rules
Bank Boost’s public TopCashback referral pool is not active while its wider-public-promotion conditions are reviewed. For personal sharing, disclose that you can earn a referral reward; do not self-refer, mislead anyone or use paid advertising without TopCashback’s permission. A reusable generic referral link is different from a retailer-specific link promoting financial-product cashback.
If you promote TopCashback cashback attached to regulated financial products to a wider public audience, additional restrictions apply. Do not use your Bank Boost referral asset to make unapproved financial-product cashback promotions.
Current campaign window: 10:00am BST on 29 September 2026 until 10:00am GMT on 31 October 2026. The reward and qualification window are set by the terms at the friend’s signup, not when the referrer copied or sent the link.
