Claim

Before you click through

Start from the provider link and complete checkout in the same browser session.
Only use voucher codes if the provider explicitly says they are compatible.
Avoid changing your basket after clicking through because this can invalidate tracking.

How cashback works

1 Choose a provider and click Claim to open Green Motion through the tracked link.

2 Complete checkout in the same browser session. Avoid switching devices, closing tabs, or changing your basket after activation.

3 Wait for the provider to track and validate the purchase. Tracking can appear within days, but payable cashback often takes weeks or months.

Tips for tracking success

Always activate first

Start from the cashback provider before shopping at Green Motion. Going directly to the retailer means your purchase may not be tracked.

Keep it one session

Complete checkout in the same browser session after clicking through. Closing tabs, switching devices, or returning later can break tracking.

Use voucher codes carefully

Only use codes shown by the cashback provider. Third-party voucher codes can override the tracking link or make cashback ineligible.

Bank Boost's Guide to Green Motion

Maximise your savings with our expert tips, seasonal sale guides, and reward stacking strategies.

Pro Tip

Always check if Green Motion offers a free loyalty scheme (like 'Perks' or 'Rewards'). You can almost always earn loyalty points at the same time as earning cashback through our tracked links!

Seasonal Sales

Watch out for massive rate spikes during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day. Retailers often double their cashback rates during these periods.

Price Matching

If Green Motion offers a price match promise, you can secure the lowest web price *and* still claim the cashback rate on top for a double-discount.

Click & Collect

Save on delivery fees by using Click & Collect. In-store collections still track perfectly as online purchases for cashback purposes.

Voucher Watch-outs

Never use a discount code you found on another website (like Honey or StudentBeans). It will override the tracking cookie and your cashback will be declined.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about tracking and earning cashback at Green Motion.

How does cashback work with Green Motion?

When you click through to Green Motion from a cashback provider like TopCashback or Quidco, they track your purchase using a special link. Once Green Motion confirms your transaction, the provider receives a commission and passes it back to you as cashback.

Can I use discount codes and still get cashback at Green Motion?

It depends. If you use a voucher code that isn't explicitly listed on the cashback provider's page, your Green Motion cashback will likely be declined. Always check the provider's specific terms for Green Motion before applying any promo codes at checkout.

How long does it take for Green Motion cashback to pay out?

Tracking usually appears on your cashback account within 24-72 hours. However, the time it takes to become "payable" varies—often taking a few weeks to several months depending on Green Motion's returns policy and payment cycles.

Why hasn't my Green Motion cashback tracked?

The most common reasons are active ad-blockers, coupon browser extensions (like Honey) overriding the tracking, or leaving the checkout page mid-purchase. To ensure your Green Motion cashback tracks perfectly, use a fresh incognito window and complete the purchase in one go.

Does the cashback rate apply to VAT and delivery charges?

Usually, no. Cashback is typically calculated on the base purchase price of your items. VAT, delivery fees, and other extra charges added by Green Motion are almost always excluded from the final cashback calculation.
